    When Visiting Lumsden . . .

The community of Lumsden is located just 20 minutes from Regina on Highway #11.  Nestled in the Qu'Appelle Valley, the area hosts a number of outdoor opportunities:

Lumsden is a thriving arts community.  We have three formal galleries - the Letterbox, Muziek and the Barb Goretzky Gallery in the Brownstone building.  Our retail shops include a drum shop, a florist, a home decor and gift shop, a clothing shop, a lumberyard, a grocery store, a pharmacy and an antique shop! When you are hungry, try the Brickhouse Bistro, Prairies Cherry Corner, the hotel or grab sandwich fixings at the Bigway grocery store.  There is a museum in the town and a petting zoo on a farm nearby.  There are four market gardens within 5 minutes of Lumsden.

    In the Area . . .

Once you have explored all that we have to offer, with transportation and a sense of adventure, following are some of the other activities/areas that you might want to checkout:
    • there are three golf courses within 15 minutes of Lumsden - Deer Valley; Flowing Springs; and Sherwood Park.
    • spend a day at the beach - Saskatchewan Beach and Regina Beach on Long Lake are under an hour by car.

You might want to pack a picnic lunch and explore the valley to the north as it contains one of Saskatchewan's most photographed churches and a buffalo jump.  For the photographer, you won't want to miss the Seven Bridges Road.
